Kansas Tourism Industry members,
As we see meetings and events start to reschedule accross the state we want to make sure that we are sending you up-to-date information.
Here are a couple of key points to keep in mind
- Federal public health officials have repeated frequently that it is safe for healthy people to travel in the U.S.
- There are no restrictions on travel within the United States.
- We want to encourage you to continue to actively partner with your local health authorities to foster clear and frequent communication.
- As you start to see events, meetings, etc. begin to reschedule in your area please send me an update via email. We are actively monitoring of the effects on travel within our state.
We also wanted to let you know the Kansas Tourism Media Event at Meredith Publishing March 30-31 is currently being rescheduled. Meredith reached out to us this morning to let our team know that in an abudance of caution they are rescheduling in-person external meetings for the foreseeable future. We are working to find an acceptable solution for the communities that registered, our team and Meredith employees, so we will keep you updated on that process as we learn more.
Below are links to relevant travel industry sites that we encourage you to check often for updates. Some of these include talking points for media and visitors.
