FEBRUARY NEWSLETTER
Welcome to February—the month of love and a perfect time to reflect on why I truly love the tourism industry here in Kansas. Lately, what has inspired me the most is the collaboration I see happening every day across our state—communities working together, partners sharing ideas and resources, and organizations aligning around a shared goal of welcoming visitors and strengthening local economies.
This year has already kicked off at a crazy pace – and I believe it is only going to accelerate. The Kansas tourism industry is on the move. February is a good month to remember that tourism succeeds because of relationships, passion, and a deep pride of place, and those qualities are on full display in the work you do. Thank you for your creativity, your cooperation, and your continued commitment to showcasing the very best of Kansas.
Hang on everyone – it’s going to be a great year!

Have you connected with your local tourism marketing region yet? Kansas Tourism has made it a priority to market the state regionally as visitors respond well to this approach. In Kansas there are six tourism regions, and each region has an organization that represents their members. By being a part of your regional organization, you have access to additional marketing and advertising opportunities. Kansas Tourism depends heavily on these regional organizations to help direct our marketing efforts. If you are not sure what region you are in, or how to get in contact with them, reach out to Kelli Orender and she can help you get to the correct person.
