This September, food and farm entrepreneurs from across Kansas are invited to Lawrence for the Kansas Food Business Start-Up Summit — a hands-on, action-focused event designed to help early-stage businesses make real progress. Hosted by the Heartland Regional Food Business Center and K-State Research and Extension–Douglas County, the Summit will be held September 11–13, 2025, at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott. Unlike traditional conferences, this working retreat offers a highly interactive format where business teams of 2–3 people will tackle real-world challenges, consult with industry experts “speed-dating” style, and connect with peers. Local meals, collaborative sessions, and one-on-one guidance will fuel tangible growth. Priority applications are open now through July 1, with general applications accepted until August 1.
