K-State Research and Extension is hosting a grant writing workshop February 6th and 8th from 1:30-4:30 PM. 

With the second round of Attraction Development Grants opening on February 1st, this might be a great opportunity to learn best practices when it comes to grant writing.

Registration is now open for our 2024 Women Managing the Farm conference—Rise—to be held Feb. 14-16 in Manhattan, Kansas! Featuring keynote speakers Mark Mayfield, Kim Bremmer (Ag Inspirations), and Matt Roberts (Terrain Ag - American AgCredit) this 20th edition of the Women Managing the Farm Conference promises to be action packed, helping women thrive in their rural communities and stay informed on the latest advancements in agriculture.

As a part of the 20th year celebration, this year we are excited to offer a new experience as you make your way to the 2024 Women Managing the Farm conference! The rides on us this year, all you must do is make your way to the nearest pick-up location and we will take it from there! We are offering 6 different pick-up locations across the state that have fun tours and stops highlighting agritourism and rural tourism along the way! Each van will be leaving mid-morning on Wednesday the 14th. All tours will get you to Manhattan, KS for a wonderful couple of days celebrating Women in Ag and back home!

ATTENTION NE KANSAS PRODUCERS!

Several state and regional organizations are sponsoring an Agri-tourism Informational Meeting on Thursday, February 29th at the Courtyard Event Space on Holton’s historic town square.

Registration will open after the new year and spots are limited! An Introduction to Agri-tourism Session will be held for entrepreneurs interested in starting Agri-tourism ventures in the morning, followed by a complimentary lunch with a wide variety of key resources important for both start up and existing business owners. This meeting is designed to support current and future business enterprises that attract tourists who participate in activities on a working farm, ranch or at a lodge, outfitter, winery, or other agricultural operation.
