RECENTLY ROAMED
At the beginning of the month Kansas Tourism hosted a Fam (familiarization) tour of the South-Central region of Kansas focusing on agritourism operations in the Wichita area! We hosted writers and influencers from all over the U.S. to enjoy and explore Kansas and spread the word about agritourism in Kansas! I had the opportunity to attend, not only as the Kansas Agritourism Program Manager but also as a Wichita native! It was such a wonderful experience to share my hometown and the wonderful producers we have in the state! We visited the following locations on our tour:

Tanganyika Wildlife Park
Kansas Maze Sunflower Field
Grace Hill Winery
Lazy Moon Ranch
RISE Farms

CONGRATULATIONS!
Earlier this month members of our office set out on the 2023 Marketing Grant Road Trip! Of those awarded, 4 were Registered Agritourism Businesses! I wanted to give a big Congratulations to all the 2023 Marketing Grant awardees!

Don't Forget!
Applications for Attraction Development Grants are being accepted thru October 2nd. The Attraction Development Grant Program is designed to assist in developing sustainable, market-driven travel experiences within the state that will influence destination travel decisions by identifying travel customers and creating economic impact resulting from the creation of jobs, capital investment, revenue, and visitation in Kansas.
