Kansas Day

Happy Kansas Day! Today we commemorate being the 34th state admitted to the United States. But more importantly, it is a time for us to pause and take pride in our state’s history, stories, strengths, and future.

I hope that you are all celebrating today along with Kansas Tourism on your social media platforms. Details are below if you need information on how to participate. We also have a link to our new Kansas video that went live today on our website and social sites. Our intent with this video was to share the spirit of Kansas and Kansans’ in a way that makes visitors want to learn more about our great state. I would love to hear your feedback on the video.

I realize that 2021 still has many challenges for the Kansas tourism industry. We have much work remaining for our industry to recover from the effects of the pandemic. Our state motto recognizes our struggles, but also encourages us to keep going strong.

So today, I toast Kansas, and I toast Kansans’.

To The Bold, To The Passionate, To The Dreamers, To You.

To The Stars.

Give A Toast To The Sunflower State! Please join us in celebrating Kansas Day by posting your own tribute to the 34th state to your Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.  Below are a few examples of what we will be posting and we encourage you to share your favorite Kansas locations by using the hashtag #ToTheStarsKS.  You also can add a special Facebook Profile Frame by searching for "Kansas Day."  Here are instructions on how to do this.
