Humanities Kansas - Take a Break for Ideas
October 16 - 12 p.m.

Grassroots artist and expert Erika Nelson from Lucas will present “Spectacular Failures,” a presentation that explores epic failures instead of the road to success. From Buckminster Fuller’s original experiments with dome architecture (failed!) to the story of an eccentric visionary artist’s dream to fly and build a giant hot air balloon (failed!), Erika’s presentation provides skill-building to help individuals thrive in rural communities and inspires action for growing support for rural arts and culture.
